Keys

All car locks are locked and unlocked with one key. However, since the doors can be locked without a key, be careful not to leave the keys locked in the car.
Note: You will not be able to disable the immobilizer system and start the engine using your own duplicate key.

The vehicle key number is on a metal tag included with the keys when the vehicle is handed over to the buyer. The key number should be written down and kept in a safe place in case additional keys are needed. Additional keys will be issued by any Hyundai dealer, for which it is enough to indicate their correct number. For security purposes, the metal tag with the key number included with the keys must be removed from the ring after the new vehicle is handed over to you and stored separately. For security reasons, Hyundai does not provide the key number. In case additional keys are needed or keys are lost, an authorized Hyundai dealer will issue you with duplicates.
Emergency engine start (petrol engine vehicles)

In case of a malfunction of the blocking system, the engine can only be started by switching the system to emergency mode using the ignition key.
Starting the engine in the emergency mode of the system is performed as follows (code numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3 are given as an example).
Note: You can find out the password for entering the emergency start mode when you receive a new car. If you do not know the password, contact an authorized Hyundai dealer.
1. To enter the first digit of the code, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position, then return it to the "OFF" position and repeat this process the number of times corresponding to the digit you want to enter. For example, to enter the digit "1", turn the key once, to enter the digit "2", turn the key twice, etc. However, to enter the digit "O", you must turn the key 10 times.
2. Wait 3-10 seconds.
3. Perform the operation of entering the next and remaining digits as indicated above in points 1 and 2.
4. The engine must be started within 30 seconds after all four digits of the code have been successfully entered. After this time, the engine cannot be started.
After using the emergency engine starting mode, contact an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.
Emergency engine start (petrol engine vehicles)

Note: If the engine stalls while driving after an emergency start, you can restart it within no more than 8 seconds without using the emergency method.
If the immobilizer indicator lamp flashes for five seconds, you can start the engine by repeating the emergency starting procedure from the beginning.
After using the emergency engine starting mode, contact an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.
