If the immobilizer indicator lamp flashes for 5 seconds after turning the ignition key to the "ON" position, it indicates that the engine immobilizer system is faulty. You will not be able to start the engine without performing the emergency operation mode operations of the ignition key. The following are the operations that must be performed to start the engine in emergency operation mode (numbers 0, 1, 2, 3 are given as an example for the password).

Execution order
1. To enter the password, you need to turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and then to the "OFF" position, according to the digit numbers, while the immobilizer indicator lamp will flash.

For example, for the input number "1", turn the ignition key in the specified order once, for the number "2", twice, etc. If the number is "0", you need to turn the ignition key in the specified order ten times.
2. Wait 3-10 seconds.
3. Enter the remaining digits of the password, following steps 1 and 2.
4. After all four digits have been entered successfully, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and make sure that the immobilizer indicator lamp is on. From this point on, you must start the engine within 30 seconds. It will be impossible to start the engine after 30 seconds.
Warning! If the engine stalls while driving in emergency mode, you can start the engine within 8 seconds without performing the operation to switch to emergency mode again.
5. If the immobilizer indicator lamp flashes for 5 seconds, you must repeat the emergency operation operations again from the beginning.
Warning! If you have not successfully completed the emergency mode activation steps three times in a row, you must wait approximately one hour before attempting these steps again.
Warning! If, despite the fact that you have successfully performed the operations to activate the emergency operation mode, you are still unable to start the engine, have your vehicle towed to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
