Formally, your new car does not require any special operations for running the car. However, you can help extend the life, as well as improve the fuel economy and performance of your new HYUNDAI, by adhering to the following guidelines for the first 2,000 km.
- Do not exceed the speed limit of 88 km/h.
- While driving, keep the engine running between 2000 and 4000 rpm (revolutions per minute).
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Avoid abrupt starting with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
- Avoid hard braking during the first 300 km.
- Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly when the gear is too high, shift into a lower gear).
- Avoid continuous movement at a constant speed.
- Do not let the engine idle for more than 3 minutes in a row.
- Refrain from towing a trailer during the first 2000 km.
Diesel engines
During the first 1000 km of run.
Formally, your new car does not require any special operations for running the car. However, you can help extend the life as well as improve the fuel economy and performance of your new HYUNDAI by adhering to the following guidelines for the first 1,000 km.
- Keep the engine running at 3000 rpm while driving (revolutions per minute).
- While driving, do not exceed a speed corresponding to more than a quarter of the maximum speed.
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Avoid abrupt starting with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
- Avoid hard braking during the first 300 km.
- Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly when the gear is too high, shift into a lower gear).
- Avoid continuous movement at a constant speed.
