Petrol engines
During the first 2000 km of mileage.
Technically, your new vehicle does not require any special break-in procedures. However, you can help extend the service life, improve fuel economy, and maintain the high performance of your new Hyundai by following these guidelines during the first 2,000 km of use.
- Do not exceed the speed limit of 88 km/h.
- While driving, keep the engine running at a speed between 2000 and 4000 rpm (revolutions per minute).
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Avoid sudden starts with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
- Avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km of driving.
- Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly with the gear in too high a gear, shift into a lower gear).
- Avoid prolonged movement at a constant speed.
- Do not allow the engine to idle for more than 3 minutes at a time.
- Avoid towing a trailer during the first 2,000 km.
Diesel engines
During the first 1000 km of mileage.
Technically, your new vehicle does not require any special break-in procedures. However, you can help extend the service life, improve fuel economy, and maintain the high performance of your new Hyundai by following these guidelines during the first 1,000 km of use.
- While driving, keep the engine running at a speed of 3000 rpm (revolutions per minute).
- When driving, do not exceed a speed that is more than a quarter of the maximum speed.
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Avoid sudden starts with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
- Avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km of driving.
- Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly with the gear in too high a gear, shift into a lower gear).
- Avoid prolonged movement at a constant speed.
