To start the engine
If your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, move the gear shift lever to neutral and fully depress the clutch pedal.
If your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, move the selector lever to the "P" (Park) position.
To start the engine, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the "START" position. Release the ignition key immediately after the engine starts. Do not hold the ignition key in the "START" position for more than 15 seconds,
Note: For safety reasons, the vehicle's engine cannot be started unless the automatic transmission selector is in the "P" (Park) or "M" (Neutral) position. (Only for vehicles with automatic transmission.)
