Note: When the ABS is in operation, a slight vibration may be felt on the brake pedal during braking, and an extraneous sound may also be heard from the engine compartment. This is not a malfunction, but normal system operation.
Warning:
- ABS cannot prevent accidents caused by incorrect or dangerous manoeuvres. Although it improves vehicle handling during emergency braking, always maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front. In extremely difficult driving conditions, always slow down.
- Depending on road conditions, vehicles equipped with ABS may have longer braking distances than vehicles without this system. This is possible in the following cases:
- - When driving on rough, gravel and snow covered roads.
- - When driving with snow chains on.
- - When driving on bumpy roads or roads with different road heights.
- The safety provided by ABS should not be tested by driving at high speeds or making sharp turns. By doing so, you endanger both yourself and others.
