Removal
After disconnecting the engine forced ventilation hose, remove the air filter.
Remove the water pump and crankshaft pulleys.

Remove the upper cover (1) of the timing belt.

After loosening the mounting bolt, move the timing belt tension roller towards the water pump and remove the timing belt.

Disconnect the ignition wires.
Remove the cylinder head cover.

Remove the camshaft timing gear (if necessary).

After unscrewing the mounting bolts, remove the tensioner of the intake camshaft drive chain.

After unscrewing the mounting bolts, remove the camshaft bearing caps, camshafts and the chain connecting the camshafts.

Remove the valve lifters/hydraulic tappets.

Installation
Installation of camshafts is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following:
When installing the camshaft chain, it is necessary to align the marks (A), (B) located on the sprockets with the marks located on the chain (C).

When installing bearing caps, do not mix up the caps (install according to identification marks).
1 - cover number;
2 - camshaft accessory.
Note: The intake camshaft is marked I and the exhaust camshaft is marked E.

Tighten the caps in 2-3 steps with a torque of 15 Nm.
Install the cylinder head cover (1) with the gasket (2).
