Installation elements of the exhaust manifold 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines
1 - thermal protective casing;
2 - graduate collector
3 - gasket;
4 - cylinder head.
Caution: Gasoline is extremely flammable, so be extra careful and careful when working with any part of the fuel line. Do not smoke or allow open flames in the work area. If gasoline comes into contact with skin, wash it off immediately with plenty of water and soap. Wear safety goggles and have a fire extinguisher handy when working on any part of the fuel system.
2.0 liter exhaust manifold settings
1 - exhaust manifold
2 - oxygen sensor
3 - thermal protection cover
2.0 liter intake manifold mounting fittings
1 - intake manifold
2 - coil
3 - throttle body
4 - intake manifold spacer
Withdrawal
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
Remove the air cleaner.
Tag and disconnect all vacuum hoses, wiring and fuel lines.
Disconnect the accelerator link from the throttle linkage.
Remove the damper housing from the intake manifold.
Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel filter.
Disconnect the coolant pipe bracket.
Disconnect the heat shield and warm air intake.
Loosen the intake manifold nuts and remove the intake manifold from the engine.
Loosen the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Clean the head studs with solvent and dry them with compressed air.
Check the mating surfaces of the manifolds for evenness using an accurate measuring tool.
Check the manifolds for cracks, damage or breakage.
If the manifold is cracked or damaged, replace it or find out if the existing one can be repaired at a specialized workshop.
Using the special tool, remove all traces of the old gasket material from the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and manifolds. Clean surfaces with solvent or acetone.
Install the exhaust manifold with new gaskets and hand tighten the center nut. Then install the intake manifold. Starting from the center and working towards the edges, tighten the nuts in a criss-cross pattern
Reinstall the remaining components by following the removal steps in reverse order.
