Removal
Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Remove the exhaust manifold assembly from the cylinder head.
Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
Examination
Check the exhaust manifold for cracks or damage.
On models with a catalytic converter, inspect the weld between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter for cracks or damage.
Installation
The exhaust manifold is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: Replace the exhaust manifold gasket and self-locking nuts with new ones before reinstalling.
