Removal
Remove the engine noise shield.

Disconnect the air intake hose from the throttle body (Fig. 2.200).

Disconnect the accelerator pedal cable.
Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose and the brake booster vacuum hose.

Disconnect the vacuum hoses, the idle speed control servo harness connector, and the throttle position sensor harness connector (Fig. 2.201).
Before disconnecting the high-pressure fuel hose from the fuel rail, release any residual pressure from the high-pressure fuel lines to prevent fuel from splashing.
Unscrew the intake manifold fastening.
Remove the intake manifold assembly and gasket.
Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Remove the fuel manifold together with the injectors (Fig. 2.202).
Caution: Be careful not to drop the injectors when removing the fuel rail.
Examination
Check the parts for cracks and damage.
Check the parts for cracks and damage.
Installation
Replace the intake manifold gasket with a new one and install the intake manifold in place.
Caution: Be careful not to drop the injectors when installing the fuel rail.
Install the fuel manifold together with the injectors.
Connect the fuel injector wire harness connector.
Install the intake manifold support bracket.
Connect the high pressure fuel hose.
Connect the positive crankcase ventilation hose and the brake booster vacuum hose.
Connect the air intake hose to the throttle body.
Connect the accelerator pedal cable.
Connect the idle speed control servo harness connector and the throttle position sensor harness connector.
