Removal
1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. After the fuel line pressure has been reduced, first start the engine, then disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.

Note: Be sure to release the pressure before disconnecting the main line, otherwise fuel will spill out.
3. After stopping the engine, turn off the ignition, then reconnect the electrical connector of the fuel pump.
4. After disconnecting the high pressure hose and return hose, connect the hose to the fuel pump and pump out fuel from the tank until it is half full.
5. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

6. Raise the car on a lift.
7. Disconnect the filler neck hose and the level hose.
8. Support the fuel tank with a jack.
9. Remove the fuel tank mounting straps.
10. Remove the fuel tank.
Examination
1. Check hoses and pipes for cracks and damage.
2. Check the serviceability of the fuel tank cap.
3. Check the fuel tank for deformation, cracks and corrosion.
4. Check the inside of the fuel tank for dirt and foreign objects.
5: Check the internal fuel tank filter for damage or clogging.
6. Check the operation of the two-way valve.
7. To check the two-way valve, blow lightly into the inlet and outlet ports. If air passes through the valve after a slight resistance, the valve is OK.

Installation
1. Install the fuel tank by tightening the self-locking nuts.
2. Connect the level hose to the fuel tank approximately 40mm into the filler neck.

3. When connecting the filler hose, the end with the short straight pipe should be located on the fuel tank side.
4. Connect the fuel vapor bleed hose and the return hose. When connecting the hose to the line, make sure the hose is installed as shown in the figure.

5. To connect the high pressure hose to the fuel pump, tighten the fitting by hand and then tighten it to the specified torque. Be careful not to twist the hose.
- Tightening torque: High pressure hose nipple - 30-40 Nm
Warning: When tightening the fitting, be careful not to twist or bend the line.
6. Connect the fuel pump electrical connector.
7. Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.
- Tightening torque: Drain plug - 15-25 Nm
