Fuel tank components
1 - fuel tank;
2 - fuel quantity sensor connector;
3 - fuel quantity sensor;
4 - fuel pump;
5 - fuel return hose;
6 - discharge hose;
7 - filler cap;
8, 9 - filler pipe;
10 - two-way valve.
Removal
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
Relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel line.
Remove the exhaust pipe.
After unscrewing the nuts, disconnect the hoses.
While supporting the fuel tank, loosen the nuts and remove the fuel tank mounting straps.
Remove the fuel tank guard.
Remove the fuel tank assembly.
Disconnect the main fuel hose.
Disconnect the fuel return hose.
Using a special tool, remove the fuel pump cover.
Remove the fuel pump.
Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system hose.
Disconnect the fuel quantity sensor connector.
Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
Remove the filler neck assembly.
Remove the evaporator tube.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:
Do not tilt the fuel pump when installing it. When installing, do not allow the gasket (3) to become jammed (location 2).
Place 1 - correct placement of gaskets;
place 2 - incorrect placement of gaskets.
Using the special tool (1), tighten the fuel pump cover to the specified torque.
