Remove the protective cover (1).

Relieve any residual pressure in the fuel line.
After disconnecting the fuel lines, remove the fuel pump.
Make sure the rubber gasket of the fuel tank is not damaged or deformed, then securely fasten the gasket.
Do not tilt the fuel pump when installing it. Avoid jamming the gasket when installing it.
Using the special tool, tighten the fuel pump cover.
Check the fuel system for leaks after installing the fuel pump.
