B is a working battery that supplies voltage to the trouble code reader.
Note: Additional fault codes may be generated when certain testing procedures are performed. Care must be taken to ensure that the codes issued during checks do not mislead the inspector.
Connect the trouble code reader to the self-diagnosis connector. Use the trouble code reader for the following purposes in strict accordance with the instructions of the device manufacturers:
- reading fault codes;
- erasing fault codes.
Use the table below to determine the fault code.
After checking parts or performing repairs that involve removing or replacing engine management system parts, you should always clear the codes.
