Note
1) If the battery voltage is low, the diagnostic trouble codes cannot be read. Check the battery voltage and condition before testing.
2) The diagnostic trouble codes are cleared if the battery terminals or ECM connector are disconnected. Do not disconnect the battery until the diagnostic trouble codes have been completely read.
Check operations (when using the HI-SCAN device)
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Connect the HI-SCAN connector to the data connector located in the fuse box.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and press the "ON" button on the HI-SCAN device.
4. The fault code will be displayed on the HI-SCAN display as shown in the figure.
