Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)

The on-board diagnostic lamp lights up to warn the driver that there is a fault in the vehicle. However, if the fault condition ceases, the lamp goes out. Immediately after turning the ignition key to the "ON" position, the indicator lamp lights up for 3 seconds to indicate that it is in good working order. It indicates a fault in the following components:
  • Oxygen Sensor (HOS)
  • Intake air temperature sensor
  • MAP sensor
  • Throttle Position Sensor (IP)
  • Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT)
  • Idle Speed Control (ISC) mechanism
  • Nozzles
