Autonomous operation of the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (Hyundai Tucson JM)

The SRS airbag system malfunction indicator lamp, located in the instrument cluster, provides information on the system status based on a test signal from the ECU.

In case of some malfunctions, the ECU of the system loses its functionality and does not control the lamp. In such cases, direct control of the lamp is carried out according to the corresponding scheme, which operates independently of the ECU of the system under the following conditions:

1. No ignition voltage supply to the ECU: the lamp lights continuously.

2. No internal working voltage: the lamp lights up continuously.

3. The system ECU is not connected: the lamp is switched on via a short-circuit jumper in the wiring connector.
