Displaying diagnostic trouble codes (Hyundai Sonata Y3)

1. Connect a voltmeter or scan tool to the diagnostic connector.

2. Read diagnostic trouble codes.

Then perform troubleshooting work according to the "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" listed below.

Note:

• The random access memory, which is part of the control module, can store up to 10 diagnostic trouble codes (in the order they appear).
• The same diagnostic trouble code can be stored no more than three times.
• If the number of stored diagnostic trouble codes or diagnostic trouble patterns exceeds 10, the
• stored diagnostic trouble codes are cleared in sequence, starting with the oldest.
• Do not disconnect the battery until all diagnostic trouble codes or diagnostic trouble patterns have been retrieved, as disconnecting the battery will clear all stored diagnostic trouble codes or diagnostic trouble patterns.
