Throttle body — removal and inspection (Hyundai Accent X3)

Removal

Warning: The throttle body must not be removed. Remove the throttle position sensor.

Note: The position sensor should not be removed except for replacement.

Examination

1. Check the throttle body for cracks.

2. Check if the vacuum line is clogged.

3. Check the accelerator cable for freedom of movement.

Warnings:
1. The throttle valve adjusting screw was factory adjusted to 0.516±5% g/s air flow at idle. DO NOT adjust it yourself.
2. If the idle speed is out of specification, check the relevant sensors and their input and output signals.
3. The throttle body does not need to be cleaned.
