Removal
1. Release excess pressure from the fuel line to prevent fuel spillage.
Warning: Cover the ends of the hoses with rags to prevent fuel spillage.
2. Remove the distribution line together with the injectors and pressure regulator.
Warning: Be careful not to drop the injectors.
Examination
1. Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the injector terminals.
- Standard value is 13-16 Ohm at 20°C
2. If the resistance is out of specification, replace the injector.
Installation
1. Install new gasket and sealing ring on the injector.
2. Apply mineral oil or motor oil to the O-ring before installation.
3. Rotate the nozzle to the right and left to install it into the distribution line.
4. Make sure the nozzle rotates freely.
Note: If the injector does not turn freely, the sealing ring may be crushed. Remove it, reinstall it in the fuel rail and recheck.
