Checking the condition of the steering (Hyundai Accent MC)

1. Set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position.

2. Apply a force of 5 N to the steering wheel and check its play. Nominal value: 0-30 mm.



3. If the measured value is greater than the maximum permissible value, check the play in the steering shaft joints and tie rod ends.

4. Check the steering rods for deformation, corrosion and damage.

5. Check the condition of the dust boots and joints for wear, ageing or damage. Replace any damaged parts.
