Mounting on gearbox
Check the retaining supports for kinks, cracks or other damage and replace if necessary.
Check the threaded fasteners on the exhaust manifold and on the holder on the gearbox for tightness, but do not pull them hard.
With the engine running, plug the outlet of the exhaust pipe with a rag. The engine should stall after a short time.
If you hear a hiss and the engine continues to run, you need to look for leaks at the site of the noise.
A dull exhaust sound and popping when coasting usually indicate that the exhaust tract is rusted.
Mufflers are initially damaged by rust at the seams. If they need to be left for some more time, it is necessary to make a detonation test in this place with a screwdriver.
