Lambda probe (oxygen sensor) serves to regulate the composition of exhaust gases in gasoline engines. The probe is screwed into the exhaust manifold.
Removal
Remove the lambda probe connector.
A special open-end wrench is used to remove the lambda probe from the engine.
If you do not have a special key, unscrew the heat-protective cover of the manifold.
Unscrew the lambda probe from the front muffler pipe or catalytic converter housing.
Installation
When replacing, it is necessary to install a lambda probe of the same type.
Clean the threads and coat them with special grease for lambda probes. The grease should not get on the splines or holes in the probe body.
After screwing in the lambda probe, tighten it to 50 Nm.
Connect the lambda probe connector.
