Diagram of the crankcase ventilation system
1 - generator; 2 - valve of the crankcase ventilation system; 3 - air chamber; 4 - wide hose; 5 - air intake pipe.
The crankcase ventilation valve is controlled by the vacuum created in the intake manifold when the engine is running.
When the engine is running at idling speed, the valve is slightly open, as a result of which a small amount of crankcase gases is discharged into the resonant chamber and subsequently burned in the engine cylinders.
With an increase in the engine speed, the degree of opening of the valve increases, as a result of which the amount of crankcase gases increases, which is discharged into the resonant chamber and subsequently burnt out in the engine cylinders.
