Order of execution
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. After the ignition is switched on, with the engine running, the battery charging indicator lamp should light up.
3. Disconnect the connector from the generator pre-excitation resistor.
Connect an ohmmeter to pins 1 and 3 of the connector on the component side. positive probe (+) connect an ohmmeter to pin 3, and the negative (–) – to pin 1.
Warning! If the ohmmeter is connected incorrectly, it will not show the resistance value
Result
1. If there is conductivity shown by an ohmmeter, then the electrical circuit is in order. If there is no continuity, then the electrical circuit is faulty.
2. If there is no continuity in step 3 only, check and repair the test lamp circuit. If there is no continuity in step 2 only, check the generator pre-excitation resistor.
Warning! If there is no continuity in only one of steps 2 and 3, then the system is working properly, however, for more reliable operation of the system, it is necessary to check the electrical circuit.
