Preparing for the test
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Connect a digital voltmeter to the "B" terminal of the generator and to the positive terminal of the battery.
Verification condition
Start the engine, turn on the headlights, heater fan and other electrical consumers and read the readings on the voltmeter.
Check result
1. The voltmeter should show a voltage of 0.3 V.

2. If the voltage is more than 0.3 V, the wire is damaged or is not securely connected to the generator and battery terminals.
To test the wire, connect the "B" terminal and the positive terminal of the battery with an additional wire with a fusible link.
Check that the wire is securely connected to the terminals and that the wire insulation has not melted due to overheating.
3. Finally, turn off all electrical consumers and stop the engine.
