Withdrawal
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the reverse light switch and engine wiring harnesses.
4. On a 5-speed manual transmission vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector from the select control valve.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator and oil pressure sensor.
6. Drain the coolant. On an automatic transmission vehicle, disconnect the transmission oil cooler hoses.
Attention! Mark the hoses before disconnecting them so that they are not mixed up when reconnecting.
Warning! Be careful not to leak transmission fluid from the hoses. Close the ends of the hoses with plugs to prevent dirt from getting in.
7. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses from the radiator and remove the radiator.
8. Disconnect the wire connecting to the engine «weight».
9. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
10. Disconnect the fuel supply and return hoses from the engine.
Warning! Gasoline is extremely flammable, when working with fuel system components, the use of fire, sparking devices, open flammable light devices and smoking is prohibited. Sparks should be avoided when handling wires and electrical devices.
11. Disconnect the cooling system hoses leading to the heater.
12. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the engine.
13. On a vehicle with a manual five-speed gearbox, disconnect the clutch cable from the gearbox housing.
14. On a vehicle with a manual five-speed transmission, disconnect the selector and shift rods.
15. On a vehicle with an automatic transmission, disconnect the transmission control cable.
16. Disconnect from a transmission a socket of the gauge of speed of the car.
17. Remove the air conditioning compressor from the bracket.
18. Raise the car.
19. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
Attention! Secure the exhaust pipe to the bottom of the car with a soft wire.
20. Turn out bolts and disconnect the bottom part of a rotary fist from a rack.
21. Remove the bolts, remove the caliper and secure it to the front suspension strut with soft wire.
22. Remove the wheel speed sensor.
23. Attach the hoist to the engine lugs and lift up to take the weight of the engine out of the jacks.
24. Turn out bolts of fastening of support of the engine.
25. Separate the engine support bracket from the engine.
26. Slowly raise the engine so that it is clear of the supports and temporarily hold it in this position.
Warning! Check that all electrical connectors, hoses, tubes and wire harnesses are disconnected from the engine.
27. Turn out bolts of fastening of an arm of a transmission to the right wing.
28. Turn out bolts and nuts of fastening of a subframe.
29. While tilting the gearbox, lower and remove the engine together with the gearbox from the car.
