Removal and installation
1. Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid from the gearbox.
2. Disconnect and remove the air filter.
3. Release the fastening clamps and disconnect the return and supply hoses.
Note: To prevent dust and foreign objects from entering, plug the disconnected transmission hoses and fittings.

4. Remove the control cable.
5. Remove the speedometer flexible shaft.

6. Disconnect the connectors of the pulse generators, gearbox switch, downshift servo switch of the solenoid valve and the oil temperature sensor.
7. Unscrew the bolt located at the top of the gearbox that secures it to the engine.
8. Connect the hoist to the engine hooks and lift the engine to relieve the load on the supports.

9. Remove the gearbox mounting bracket.
10. Remove the center element and support mounting bolts.
11. Remove the lower control arm ball joint and drive shaft.

12. Remove the gearbox support and the bell housing cover.
13. Remove the three bolts connecting the torque converter and the drive disk.

Note: To remove the torque converter special bolts, turn the engine crankshaft with a socket wrench to set one of the bolts in a position convenient for removing. After removing one bolt in the manner described above, turn the crankshaft and remove all remaining bolts one by one. Set the gearshift lever to the "N" position (Neutral).
14. Supporting the gearbox with a jack, remove the remaining bolts connecting the gearbox to the engine.
Installation
1. Attach the torque converter to the gearbox side and install the unit on the engine.

Warning. If the torque converter is installed on the engine first, the transmission-side oil seal may be damaged. Therefore, first install the torque converter on the gearbox.
2. Install the transmission control cable and adjust it as follows:
1) Move the shift lever and switch to the "N" position (Neutral) and install the control cable.
2) When connecting the control cable to the transmission mounting bracket, install the clamp so that it contacts the control cable (as shown in the picture).

3) Use the adjusting nut to remove any slack in the control cable, then check the smooth movement of the shift lever.
4) Check that the control cable is adjusted correctly.
