Checking the technical condition
1. Visually inspect the mass air flow sensor.
A. Installation position.
B. The presence of contamination, corrosion or damage to the connector.
C. The air filter is clogged or wet.
D. Deformation or blockage of the sensor cylinder (MAFS) by foreign materials.
2. Perform a leak test in the intake system and intercooler system.
Removal
1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor connector (A) and remove the clamp (B).

3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the mass air flow sensor.
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. If the component is dropped, it must be carefully checked before installation:
- Be careful not to damage the sensitive element and honeycombs.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque:
- Mass air flow sensor mounting bolt: 3.9-5.9 Nm.
- Mass air flow sensor clamp screw: 2.9 - 4.9 Nm.
Replacement
Attention. After replacing the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAFS), perform the "Component Change Routine" procedure. Otherwise, a malfunction related to engine performance or exhaust control may occur and persist until data about the new component is registered in the engine control unit.
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Connect the GDS scanner to the data link connector (DLC).
