Checking the technical condition
Check the signal waveform of the crankshaft sensor (CKPS) and camshaft sensor (CMPS) using the GDS.
Removal
1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).
3. Remove the starter.
4. Remove the dust cover (A).
5. Loosen the mounting screw and remove the crankshaft position sensor (B).
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
- When removing the dust cover, fix it on the block. Then you need to disconnect and check the sensor cable.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
