Checking the technical condition
Check crankshaft sensor waveform (CKPS) and camshaft sensor (CMPS) using a diagnostic system scanner (GDS).
Withdrawal
Attention. Do not remove the camshaft position sensor while the engine is running or immediately after it has stopped, as this may cause burns due to hot engine oil escaping.
1. Turn the ignition key to position «OFF» and disconnect the negative (-) battery wire.
2. Disconnect the connector (A) camshaft position sensor.
3. Remove the camshaft position sensor.
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the correct torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. In the event of a drop, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
- Lubricate the O-ring with coolant.
- Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
- Install the sensor carefully.
- Be careful not to damage the housing and sensor connector.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque: Camshaft position sensor mounting bolt: 7.8 - 11.8 Nm.
