Checking the technical condition



1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Disconnect the variable intake manifold (VIS) valve connector.

3. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the VIS valve. Compare with the specification.

Removal



1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the VIS solenoid valve connector (A).

3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses (A) from the valve.

4. Unscrew the fastening nut (C) and remove the valve from the smoothing receiver.

Installation



Attention.
  • Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
  • Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
  • Do not allow foreign materials to enter the valve.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
