Checking the technical condition
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector (HO2S).
3. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of the HO2S [bank 1 / sensor 1].
4. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of the HO2S [bank 1 / sensor 2].
5. Check that the resistance is within specification.
Withdrawal
[Bank 1 /Sensor 1]
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery wire.
2. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the sensor (IN).
Note: It is convenient to use a special tool to remove the heated oxygen sensor (09392-2Н100).
[Bank 1 /Sensor 2]
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery wire.
2. Remove the console.
3. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the sensor (IN).
Note: It is convenient to use a special tool to remove the heated oxygen sensor (09392-2Н100).
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the correct torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. In the event of a drop, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
- Do not allow liquid or aerosol cleaners or lubricants to come into contact with the sensing element, as the oil contained in these substances may affect the performance of the sensor.
- Do not allow the sensor and its wiring to come into contact with the components of the exhaust system (exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, etc.).
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque: Heated oxygen sensor: 44.1 - 49.1 Nm.
