Removal
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the upper radiator hose.
4. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).
5. Remove the intake manifold.
6. Loosen the bolt (A) and remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque: Knock sensor mounting bolt: 18.6 - 23.5 Nm.
