Checking the technical condition



1. Connect the GDS scanner to the data link connector (DLC).

2. Measure the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAPS) sensor output voltage at idle and compare to specification.

Removal



1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor (A) connector.

3. Loosen the bracket mounting bolt (B) and then remove the sensor from the smoothing receiver.

Installation



Attention.
  • Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
  • Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
  • Use caution when installing the sensor.


Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Tightening torque: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAPS) mounting bolt: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.
