- 1. The engine starts with difficulty or does not start.
- 2. The engine runs unsteadily at idle.
- 3. The car's driving performance deteriorates.
If one of the above malfunctions is present, first of all perform the usual diagnostics, including checking the main engine systems (ignition system malfunction, incorrect engine adjustment, etc.). Then check the elements of the engine control system with distributed injection using the HI-SCAN device.
Note: Before removing or installing any of the system components, read the fault codes, then disconnect the negative battery cable.
Note: – Before disconnecting the negative battery cable, turn off the ignition. Disconnecting or connecting the battery cable with the engine running or ignition on may damage the engine control unit.
Note: – The heated oxygen sensor is connected to the ECU via shielded wires, the shields of which are connected to the body ground to protect against interference from the ignition system and radio interference. If the shields are damaged, replace the wires.
Note: – When checking the generator load, do not disconnect the wire from the positive terminal "+" of the battery to prevent damage to the ECU from increased voltage.
Note: When charging the battery from an external source, disconnect the negative cable from it to avoid damaging the ECU.
