Checking the technical condition
Throttle position sensor (TPS)
1. Connect the diagnostic system scanner (GDS) to the diagnostic socket (DLC).
2. Start the engine and check the output voltage of the throttle position sensors (TPS) 1 and 2 at closed and wide open throttle.
3. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the scanner from the diagnostic socket (DLC).
4. Disconnect the throttle control module connector (ETC) and measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the module.
Throttle control motor (ETC)
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the throttle control module connector (ETC).
3. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 6 of the module.
4. Check that the resistance is within specifications.
Withdrawal (with coolant hose)
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery wire.
2. Remove the resonator and air duct.
3. Disconnect the connector (A) throttle control module (ETC).
4. Disconnect the hoses (IN) coolant.
5. Remove the bolts (WITH) fasteners and remove the module (ETC).
Withdrawal (without coolant hose)
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery wire.
2. Remove the resonator and air duct.
3. Disconnect the connector (A) throttle control module (ETC).
4. Remove the bolts (IN) fasteners and remove the module (ETC).
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. In the event of a drop, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Note: Tightening torque: Power throttle body bolt: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.
