Checking the technical condition
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
1. Connect the GDS scanner to the data link connector (DLC).
2. Start the engine and check the output voltage of throttle position sensors (TPS) 1 and 2 at closed throttle and wide open throttle.
3. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the scanner from the data link connector (DLC).
4. Disconnect the throttle control module (TCM) connector and measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the module.
Electric Throttle Control Motor (ETC)
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the throttle control module (TCM) connector.
3. Measure the resistance between pins 3 and 6 of the module.
4. Check that the resistance matches the technical specifications.
Removal (with coolant hose)
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Remove the resonator and air duct.
3. Disconnect the throttle control module (ETC) connector (A).
4. Disconnect the coolant hoses (B).
5. Loosen the mounting bolts (C) and remove the module (ETS).

Removal (without coolant hose)
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Remove the resonator and air duct.
3. Disconnect the throttle control module (ETC) connector (A).
4. Loosen the mounting bolts (B) and remove the module (ETS).

Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Note: Tightening torque: Electric throttle body mounting bolt: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.
