Checking the technical condition
Check the signal waveform from the camshaft position sensor (CMPS) and crankshaft position sensor (CKPS) using the Global Diagnostic System (GDS) scanner.
Removal
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

3. Remove the protection (A).

4. Loosen the bolt (A) and remove the crankshaft position sensor.

Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component, if dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
- Use caution when installing the sensor.
- Lubricate the sealing ring with coolant.
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
Tightening torque:
- Crankshaft position sensor bolt: 9.8-11.8 Nm.
- Bolt (M8) for crankshaft position sensor protection: 18.6 - 23.5 Nm.
- Bolt (MB) for protecting the crankshaft position sensor: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.
