Checking the technical condition
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) connector.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the PCSV valve.
4. Check that the resistance matches the specification.
Removal
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the purge control solenoid valve connector (A).
3. Disconnect the steam lines (B) from the purge control solenoid valve.
4. Loosen the bracket mounting bolt (C) and then remove the valve from the smoothing receiver.
Installation
Attention.
- Tighten the component mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Be careful not to drop the component. If dropped, the component must be carefully checked before installation.
- Do not allow foreign materials to enter the valve.
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque: Purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) bracket mounting bolt: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.
