2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and disconnect the connector between the engine wiring and the sensor switch.

3. Remove the sensor and the sensor switch.

The basis of the material is information from the website: www.hyundaibook.ru

Examination

Coolant temperature sensor

1. Heat the engine coolant temperature sensor by immersing it in hot water.

1. Heat the engine coolant temperature…

2. Check that the sensor resistance is within the specified limits.
Resistance
  • 90.5 - 11 Ohm at 70°C
  • 21.3 - 26.34 at 115°C

Coolant Temperature Switch Sensor

1. Heat the sensor switch by immersing it in hot water.

2. Check that the sensor resistance is within the specified limits.

2. Check that the sensor resistance is…

Resistance
  • 2.27-2.73 kOhm at 20°C
  • 290-354 Ohm at 80°C

Installation

1. Apply sealing material to the threaded part of the sensor and tighten it to the required torque.

Tightening torque
  • Coolant temperature sensor - 10-12 Nm
  • Coolant temperature switch sensor - 15-20 Nm

2. Connect the wiring connector to the coolant temperature sensor and the coolant temperature switch.

3. Connect the negative battery cable.

4. Fill the system with clean coolant.
