Single camshaft engine
V6 engine
Withdrawal
1. Drain the coolant to the level of the sensor or below.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wires to the engine.
3. Remove the sensor and transmitter.
Examination
1. Warm up the sensor by immersing it in hot coolant
2. Verify that the sensor resistance is within the specified limits.
Electrical resistance:
- 90.5-117.5 ohms at 70°C
- 21.3-26.3 ohms at 115°C
Temperature sensor sensing element
1. Warm up the sensing element by immersing it in hot coolant.
2. Verify that the electrical resistance is within the specified limits.
Electrical resistance:
- 2.21-2.69 kOhm at 20°C
- 264-328 Ohm at 80°C
Installation
1. Apply sealant to the threaded part and tighten to the specified torque:
- temperature sensor «Tribond No. 2310» or similar
- Sensor element «Loctite 962T» or similar
Torque:
- Temperature sensor - 10-12 Nm
- Sensing element - 20-40 Nm
2. Connect the wires to the transducer and sensing element.
3. Connect a wire to a negative conclusion of the storage battery.
4. Fill the system with coolant.
