
Removal
1. Drain the coolant to or below the thermostat level.
2. Remove the cooling system outlet pipe and gasket.
3. Remove the thermostat.
Examination
1. Heat the thermostat in hot water as shown in the figure.

2. Make sure the thermostat valve is working properly.
3. Make sure that the measured temperature at which the valve opens corresponds to the set values.
- Valve opening temperature: 86.5-89.5°C
- Full opening temperature of the valve is 100°C
Installation
1. Check that the thermostat flange is positioned correctly in the housing socket. If the thermostat is not installed correctly, the flange will not fit into place.
2. Install the coolant outlet pipe and a new gasket.
- The tightening torque of the exhaust pipe mounting bolt is 17-20 Nm.
3. Fill the system with coolant.
