Connect the tester to the diagnostic connector.

Insert a 0.65 mm thick feeler gauge (2) between the factory idle speed adjustment screw (3) and the throttle lever (1).

Turn the ignition key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.

After loosening the mounting bolts, turn the throttle position sensor counterclockwise until it stops.

Check that the throttle position sensor is on in this position.

Slowly turn the sensor clockwise until you find the position where the sensor turns off. After this, tighten the sensor mounting bolts securely.

Check the output voltage (400-1000 mV).

If the voltage deviates from the nominal value, check the throttle position sensor.

Remove the dipstick and, with the ignition key turned to the OFF position, disconnect the tester.
