Insert a 0.5 mm thick feeler gauge (2) between the accelerator lever (1) and the throttle lever (3) to a depth of 3 mm.

Turn the ignition key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
After loosening the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolts, turn the sensor clockwise until it stops. In this position, the closed throttle position switch should be on.
By slowly turning the sensor (1) counterclockwise, find the position at which the sensor turns off. After this, tighten the sensor mounting bolts securely.

Select the appropriate mode on the tester.
Check the output voltage value of the accelerator pedal position sensor (400-1000 mV).
If the voltage deviates from the nominal value, check the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Remove the dipstick and turn the ignition key to the OFF position to disconnect the tester.
