Sensor test
With the ignition off, disconnect the sensor connector and measure the circuit resistance between tracks 2 and 3. Rated value: 1.6-2.4 ohms.
By opening and closing the throttle, check the change in the output voltage.
TPS characteristic
State | Voltage |
damper closed | 0.2-0.8V |
damper open | 4.3-4.8V |
Wiring check
With the ignition on, measure the voltage between the specified contacts of the wired part of the connector.
Circuit under test | Rated voltage |
Contact 1 - «weight» | 5 V |
Contact 2 - «weight» | 5 V |
Contact 3 - «weight» | 0 V |
Pin 2 - Pin 3 | Below 5 V by about 200 mV |
1. Sensor signal
2. Nutrition (+5 V)
3. «Weight» sensor
Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2. Rated value: ∞ ohm.
