Disassembly
1. Clamp the differential housing in a vise.
2. Turn away bolts of fastening of a driving cogwheel of differential and remove it from the case of differential.
3. Using a special tool (09432-21000), remove the ball bearings.
Note. Do not reuse removed bearings.
4. Using a punch, drive the lock pin out of hole A.
5. Remove the satellite shaft.
6. Remove satellites, washers, side gears and spacers.
Assembly
1. Install spacers behind the side gears, then install them into the differential housing.
Notes:
1. When installing new side gears, use medium thickness spacers (0.83-053mm).
2. Do not reuse the lock pin.
3. The head of the locking pin must be below the flange face of the differential case.
2. Install a washer on the back of each pinion and install both pinions so that they engage the side gears by turning them.
3. Enter the axis of the planets.
4. Measure the backlash in the gearing of the semi-axial gears with satellites.
- Nominal value - 0.025-0.150 mm
5. If the clearance is out of range, disassemble the differential, install spacer washers of the required thickness, reassemble the differential and check the engagement clearance.
Note. Adjust the clearance on both side gears to the same value.
6. Align the lock pin holes in the pinion shaft and differential case and install the lock pin.
Notes:
1. Do not reuse the lock pin.
2. The locking pin head must not protrude more than 3 mm.
7. Using a special tool (09455-21000), install tapered roller bearings on both sides of the differential case.
Note. When installing bearings with a press fit, apply pressure only to the inner ring.
8. Tighten the bolts to the required torque. Follow the tightening sequence shown in the figure.
