2. Install a new carburetor gasket on the surface of the intake manifold.
3. Carefully install the carburetor onto the intake manifold.
4. Install the carburetor mounting bolts and tighten them a little at a time to compress the gasket evenly. Bolts must be securely tightened.
5. Connect an accelerator cable, vacuum and fuel hoses.
6. Check the vacuum hose connectors for damage and looseness.
7. Make sure the check valve opens and closes fully during operation.
8. Make sure the throttles move all the way.
9. Install the air filter. It should be cleaned or replaced by this time to ensure proper carburetor performance.
10. Connect battery power.
Warning. The practice of speeding up engine starting after maintenance by pouring fuel directly into the carburetor choke should be completely eliminated. The engine is started by turning the crankshaft and correspondingly pressing the accelerator pedal several times.
11. Adjust idle speed and quality (compound) mixtures.
