Installing a carburetor (Hyundai Accent X3)

0
1. Inspect the mating surfaces of the carburetor and intake manifold. Make sure both surfaces are clean and free of scratches, burrs, or other damage.

2. Install the new carburetor gasket onto the intake manifold surface.

3. Carefully install the carburetor onto the intake manifold.

4. Install the carburetor mounting bolts and tighten them gradually, little by little, to compress the gasket evenly. The bolts must be securely tightened.

5. Connect the accelerator cable, vacuum and fuel hoses.

6. Carefully check the vacuum hose connectors for damage and looseness.

7. Make sure the check valve opens and closes fully during operation.

8. Make sure the throttle valves move their full stroke.

9. Install the air filter. It should be cleaned or replaced by this time to ensure proper operation of the carburetor.

10. Connect the battery power.

Warning. The practice of accelerating engine starting after maintenance by pouring fuel directly into the air neck of the carburetor should be completely excluded. The engine is started by turning the crankshaft and pressing the accelerator pedal several times.

11. Adjust the idle speed and the quality (composition) of the mixture.
