
Removal
Accelerator cable
1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut.
2. Disconnect the cable from the throttle lever.

3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator lever.

4. Disconnect the accelerator cable guide from the wall, and then pull out the cable.

Accelerator pedal
1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut, disconnect it from the accelerator lever and remove the accelerator pedal.
2. Remove the return spring from the accelerator lever.
3. Remove the cotter pin from the accelerator lever shaft and then remove the accelerator lever from the bracket.
Examination
1. Check the inner and outer cables for damage.
2. Check the smooth movement of the cable.
3. Make sure the accelerator lever is not bent.
4. Check if the return spring is stretched.
5. Check the cable fastening to the ends.
Installation
1. Apply general purpose grease around each moving part of the accelerator drive.
- Recommended grease: SAE J310a or NLGI grade #2 or equivalent
2. To prevent exhaust gas from entering the passenger compartment, place the semi-dry type seal into the hole and then tighten the accelerator lever bracket.
3. Make sure the accelerator cable is positioned without kinks.
4. Check the accelerator cable play.
