1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the air cleaner.
4. Disconnect the drive cable from the throttle.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the carburetor.
6. Disconnect the fuel cutoff solenoid connector.
7. Place a container under the fuel hoses detachable from the carburetor to collect any fuel that may spill out of the fuel line, and disconnect the hoses from the carburetor nipples.
8. Remove the carburetor mounting bolts a and carefully remove it from the engine. Hold the carburetor so as not to spill fuel from it.
