Adjusting the free play of the accelerator cable (Hyundai Accent X3)

1. Let the engine run at idle speed.

2. Make sure there is no slack in the inner accelerator cable.



3. If the cable is slack, adjust it as follows:

• 1) Loosen the adjusting nut and the throttle lever will be released.
• 2) Eliminate sharp bends in the cable.
• 3) Turn the adjusting nut until the throttle lever starts to move, then turn it back one turn and lock it securely to move the outer cable toward the throttle lever.
