Refrigerant
Refrigerant removal is recommended to be carried out at specialized service stations using special filling stations connected to the service valves of the high pressure circuits (1) and low (2) pressure.
Total volume of R134-a refrigerant: 500±25 ml.
Compressor oil
In case of dismantling any part of the air conditioning system, follow these steps:
1. Open all doors and hood.
2. Start the engine and turn on the air conditioner. Set the fan speed control to the maximum flow position.
3. Run the engine for 20 minutes at 800-1000 rpm to allow all the oil to collect in the compressor.
4. After replacing or installing the dismantled assembly, fill the following amount of compressor oil into the new assembly.
Total volume of HFC-134a compressor oil: 120±10 cm3.
In case of compressor replacement
1. Remove the compressor and drain the compressor oil from it.
Note: New compressors are factory filled with compressor oil. When replacing a new compressor, it is necessary to drain the same amount of oil as was in the removed compressor. Otherwise, there will be excess compressor oil in the system.
2. Calculate the amount of oil to be drained using the formula:
Amount of drained oil = Total volume of oil - Volume of drained oil (from the removed compressor)
Note: Even if there is no oil in the removed compressor, do not drain more than 50 cm3 of oil from the new compressor.
